I think what helps people learn is being able to connect with others as well as being able to share good ideas and points. I mostly see this working in an English class rather than a class where such things have only one answer to each question. Although the connecting with others piece does help in any class out there. Learning also is about being able to grasp the concepts being handed to you. Not only being able to understand it, but to also be able to explain it to others.
